The Greek Festival...and FLYBALL!

Momma took me to my first Greek Festival at the Fairgrounds this weekend...I was sooooo fun!
She told me I was 'part Greek' and I asked her 'which part?' because I thought it was some 'part' on my body---like my eyes, or ears or something...she laughed and said,'the FUN part!'
We shopped the market and I got my first 'evil eye' bracelet---it is PINK!

The music was very loud and the boys wore skirts and 'slippers with red poofy balls on them'...I liked the music and Momma caught me dancing a lot...
We looked at all the food and pastries...Momma showed me Greek 'donuts'---her favorite!
When we were about to leave, we stopped and looked at the 'miskah dolls'...(nesting dolls)
I LOVE THEM!
They are from Russia...which is sorta near Greece...maybe...I LOVED looking at them all!

I LOVE the 'Miskah Dolls'
When we left, we went in to another building because we heard all these dogs barking!
They were playing 'FLYBALL'! I laughed and laughed and laughed! The little dogs made me laugh the hardest!

Momma's gonna try to upload a video of it!

'I'm not a clown person...'

Today, at my school, the REAL Ronald McDonald showed up at lunch time...he is a clown.
I told Momma that he sounded like the gym teacher...I asked her if clowns were real. She told me that clowns are just real people dressed in a costume, with make up and wigs on...they are not born looking that way.
Ronald McDonald did not wear a red nose...it was his real nose...and it did not squeek.
He did magic tricks...I don't understand how he is on the TV, and was in the lunchroom too.
I decided today, and told Momma: 'I am NOT a clown person!'

Good Rules...

(Momma says that all 3 of her kids need to remember these rules...and some grown-ups too! Bill Gates wrote them...of course , she says, some of the words are too big for me yet...)

"Rule 1: Life is not fair - get used to it!

Rule 2: The world doesn't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.

Rule 3: You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school. You won't be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both.

Rule 4: If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss.

Rule 5: Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping: they called it opportunity.

Rule 6: If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault, so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them.

Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you thought you were. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parent's generation, try delousing the closet in your own room.

Rule 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life HAS NOT. In some schools, they have abolished failing grades and they'll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer. This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.

Rule 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF. Do that on your own time.

Rule 10: Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.

Rule 11: Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one."
